Calgary West Campground

We stayed here one night on our way to Banff on July. Campsite space is narrow and very close to each other. So you can image how noisy there is. Ground is muddy maybe previous raining weather. Bathroom is dirty, never seen such dirty bathroom at any private campground. There is a wifi, but you can't never browse with it at your site. Registration said we need to be close the office to get wifi reception.

A great spot - shuttle service to bus line allowed us to leave the big rig parked and explore Calgary on foot. Campground is a former KOA and has everything that you need (we were there mid sept so pool was closed and park was very quiet)

Just drove in the park to take a look. Grass not cut, buildings in poor repair. Sites close together and not level. All gravel. 30 amp only available and that is an extra charge. Only positive is the park is close to Calgary. Will not be staying here.

Campground is reasonably close to Calgary, next to the Olympic park. Buildings are showing their age, but showers were warm and free. Several washers and dryers available. Pull through site was fairly level, but against a hill, so hardly opportunity too sit outside. Wi-Fi is free, but rather bad.

Great location for the Stampede but not the best campground for the price. Not well kept, on a hill with no privacy. Sites are about 3' from one another, not all level w stone and,crab grass sites. Hookups are shared and for ours it took 2 water hoses and 2 extension cords to reach everything. Seemed rather ridiculous. They have some you can borrow if need be...but still. The playground and pool is nice if you have kids. Wi-Fi is unreliable. Our site is E24 amd we're right in front of the bathrooms and dumpsters (which are apparently emptied loudly at 645 AM). I was upset with this seeing as I booked so far in advance and staying 3 days. BUT I will say its been fairly quiet otherwise, we have a 10 month old so quiet is good for naps and bedtime. No fire pits. There is a picnic table, but they're in need of major TLC. This campground is 1.5 hrs to Banff trails and such. They have a shuttle for $15 for the Stampede.
