Wonderful park! Sites are very roomy, and wooded. Bathhouse is best I've seen in a state park.

This is one of the larger parks. Very well maintained, very clean, over 5100 acres. This is a great place.

When open, as it's a seasonal it's an excellent park. Spacious sites-there are large Rv sites some not do level so it's best to check them out first if you are able. Can imagine in season a tough place to get into. We enjoyed Louisville from this location. Loved this park- extremely quiet and beautiful setting. Plenty of trails to hike, walk bike excellent area for recreation

Awesome
By user-5651593... on 2017-10-23.
We have stayed there from when the 1st day it opened. All paved lots, grass is kept cut and the bathhouses are super nice and Clean. Its far enought back off the road that you cant hear passing cars. If you have a boat they have a nice boat launch into the Ohio River. Dont forget to visit Rose Island while you are there.

Getting better with age
By user-6302649... on 2017-10-23.
At first the campground was stark and boring but trees have matured and it's become quite nice. Great hiking a d the opening of the old Rose Island area is a big plus. Easy access to the Ohio River. The park is still underutilized and you can often get a spot here when other campgrounds are full.

Great roads. Easy access. huge spots with a of space between slots....like 50'. Great full hookups for $30/night at least this time of year...end of March. You fully enter the park and go to the entrance of the RV area well inside the park before you pay at a gate. Don't bother with the main entrance or park office.

We traveled several hours to enjoy this area. We learned the park is only 21 years old but being fairly new they do a lot right. The sites are good size. It was quiet. There were a good number of campers with pets but very little barking, very respectful with the music and the kids even seemed to respect the rules. The park stayed well maintained. The facilities and grounds we're clean. The Rose Island tour was both interesting and informative and even held our kids attention for the most part. We also love all the things to do along the river. We will be returning there in future years to continue to enjoy this growing park.

Quiet and clean!
By user-4569524... on 2019-08-09.
We didn't have a reservation, but when we arrived the wonderful man working allowed us to drive through and pick our site. I appreciated that, since some spots aren't so level. We stayed on the Mulberry loop, and the campground was practically empty. The grounds were well taken care of and the bathrooms were clean. It was about a 25 minute drive from Louisville, KY, which was perfect for visiting the city for a day. We would definitely stay here again!

Nice Park!
By user-5797891... on 2019-08-09.
Very well kept, and nice paved spots.
Our electric-only spot had full 50 amp service, with 124 volts on both legs. Granted, there were few campers here in early May, so I can't speak to a "full house".
Be aware there is a fee to enter the park in addition to the campground fee.
We'll be back.
