Great place to spend a few days while in town, great atmosphere, live local music in market. Crowded campground, but organized ! All campgrounds are crowded, "KOA + Yogi" Will stay when back in town !!

Staff was friendly and helpful. Located beside major train track. Most trailers are fulltime families. There are better parks for travelers near the Grand ole Opry.

Great campground, staff is very nice and friendly.

Checked in. Lead to a site that was too short. When we asked about anither site that would have easily accommodated our rig, the woman in the office told the guy who escorted us to our sites to, "tell them someone else requested that site." Which was laughable...we had a 5 night reservation. Everyone who stayed in that particular site, was just in for overnight. Poor management, no organization, the train is, literally, right up against the sites. The sites are right on top of each other, so good luck getting your awnings out. Wal-Mart would be better.

Very fun friendly staff..they just took this park over four years ago and it is really taking a shape nicely..We ran in to a freak 27 degree night..not the best but certainly not the Grand Ole's fault..very clean restrooms showers, and pizza and sandwich's ....great feel in the store...really made us comfortable with that down home attitude ...we will be back...and I almost forgot thank you Mike for being so patient with me backing in ...not even close to being a professional truck driver....see you next year..

The best part of this rv park is the personnel, they are great. It is a cramped rv park and there is very little room between campers, but that is not the problem. There is a train right beside the campground but I really didn't mind that, we knew from reading the reviews about the train. The reason for the 3 star rating is because of the excessive grass clippings. It looks like they don't mow very often so when they do the grass clippings are inches deep and they don't rake them up and clean up the grass. This means that you cannot enjoy what little grass is around your camper because if you get off the gravel the grass covers your shoes. And if you have a dog you can't let them in the grass because they get covered in grass. I would have given them a 4 star if the grounds around the campsites were better maintained. There also seems to be a lot of permanent campers set up, but everyone seemed very friendly.

We arrived here the night before we were scheduled to. The office was closed but a worker was still around. He asked if we needed a site and I told him we were scheduled to come in tomorrow. He said no problem. He told us we could park I their field. No hookups but that was ok because it beat a Wal-Mart parking lot and it was safe. The nearest Wal-Mart did not allow overnight parking but some RVers were staying anyway. We Wil definitely return to this campground when in town! They have three cheapest full hook up rates around.

When was the last time you had people actually offer to set up your sewer/water etc. on arrival.? The staff are amazing. Best customer service ever! This place is not fancy. It's folksy. Entertainment value is high as there's a cast of characters, all of whom go out of their way to help. Sites are roomy, everything works: Internet, 30/50 Amp, laundry, clean washrooms, pet friendly. Propane available. Prices are very fair. Bobby's BBQ is fantastic. Live music Thurs. thru Saturday's. Trains do rumble by but that's just part of the show. It's a gem!

Mike and Sandy Minneapolis Minnesota 5/2/2015 The park is clean nice for over night stay. Trains do not make much noise Good for couple days while going in Nashville. The down is NO CABLE TV AND NO POOL. Price about the same as parks with pool and cable. 34.50 plus tax 37.70. No discounts.

Very lovely place, clean beautiful bathrooms and the staff is so sweet and gracious! Highly recommend. Our kids loved the trains and they didn't bother us at night. Would definitely stay again!

This is a great campground. It is close to all of the attractions in Nashville. The only reason I do not give it a higher rating is because of the train.

Can't say enough good things about this park. By far the most friendly campground we have ever visited. Located about 15 minutes from downtown Nashville . Close to all the stores campers look for. Love this place..
By user-5025060... on 2017-10-23.
We stopped for overnight. My husband enjoyed the entertainment and I their little restaurant. Nothing fancy. Trains rumbled through, but not really a bother. In the morning we discovered that the pigtail between the coach and tow had come loose and had been chewed up. The owners assisted my husband by taking him to the local auto parts store to get parts, then Tommy brought him back to the site and then wired the parts back into working order. This is a definitely above and beyond anything that we expected. The owners are super people and we will certainly stay here again.

We called at the last minute requesting full hookups (50amps) for a single overnight stay, at the beginning of a 4th of July weekend. Surprisingly, they were able to provide us with one of their overflow sites. This overflow site was located directly behind the Office. We were immediately provided an impressive well written email reservation confirmation, with very detailed and helpful information about the campground and surrounding area. Once we arrived, we were impressed with the well kept, clean Office and facilities, as well as the relaxed and friendly staff. I was also encouraged to find that overall the campground had many more trees and shaded areas than you see on the satellite views of Google and Apple maps. As for the train, we had read all the reviews and knew about it beforehand - and as many have said - it is not that bad as there are no whistles or horns blaring - only the rumbling of the train as it rolls by. We found that the air conditioning on our RV pretty much covered the train sound when we were inside our coach. I would have given this campground 5 stars if it wasn't for the train that goes by. I would definitely come back and stay here again when i am in this area.

Recommend you don't try and come here during rush hour through Nashville or any other place during rush hour. Very friendly & helpful staff on arrival. Was escorted to my spot and asked if I needed help setting up. I had a back in spot to put my 42' 5th wheel. There was plenty of room to back into it and wide enough for all slides to open. Services were all new, but the park lacks cable TV. The park is very clean & kept up. There is music entertainment at the RV park on weekends and Grayline Tours will come and take you to Nashville for sight seeing. They have a great little food Vendor in the park that cooks some great meals. Also, RV supplies if you need any are sold here. Their are Malls & food stores that are close to the park if you need any supplies Make sure if you stay here on a Sunday night that Randy & Glenn take you to the Palace for some great entertainment. Their is a train that comes through close to the park that could wake you at night. I would definitely stay here again if the chance comes up. Great place and only 11 mile drive to Nashville.

First off, the staff were amazing and very nice. Free BBQ right we pulled up made for a great dinner after being on the road. Electrical hookups were newer and looked stable. Sites were made of pea gravel and somewhat level, WiFi was excellent. They have multiple antennas one 2Ghz ad the other a 5Ghz. The 2Ghz channel was running about 2mbps down but if you have a 5Ghz antenna, that connection was running at 90+Mbps down!!!! Woah!!! Park is somewhat close to Nashville as well. Now the bad, the park is extremely close to the railroad tracks. Make sure to get a site closer to the busy road. Train runs about every 25 min and is louder than the road traffic. Also, I heard stories of the park being flooded from hurricane Harvey and lots of trailers with water damage from water getting 3ft high. There is a creek on the backside of the park that can overflow, so I'd keep the trailer hooked up if you experience heavy rainfall during your stay. Overall, I would come back to this park.
By user-5862412... on 2017-10-23.
Customer service was outstanding. Greeted me at the door as if they were waiting for us to arrive! Offered to help us set up. We were fortunate and got a long pull thru site. Some of the other sites were a bit crowded and congested. The train took some getting used to as well as the busy road. Close enough to Nashville and surrounding areas but if spending a lot of time in Nashville there are closer places to stay.

Come to the park in may an still her it is October best customer service of any park ever family owned an operated
By user-5893442... on 2017-10-23.
Let me be clear, the absolute #1 reason for a 5 star rating is that the owner, his family, and the work campers are so very genuine and caring. They are the epitome of customer service and hospitality. I had to come back to Nashville for an unexpected medical situation. When I couldn't get into any of the 3 off of Music Valley Drive, I had to research other options and consider it fate that I found this place! The owner had compassion for my situation and bent over backwards to accommodate me. His girlfriend even made me a homemade banana pudding! The owner lives on site above the office. His daughter is a manager, and his son comes over and sets up karaoke on Saturday nights. They have live entertainment thru the week. You may discover some people around the RV Park have played at the Grand Ole Opry and others play at local venues such as Tootsie's. Maybe you can even get them to play around the campfire. The camp store has the necessities, there are 4 laundry machines and dryers, facilities are clean, good restaurant (you won't regret the pizza), covered front porch with rockers, and covered patio in back. The sites can be close together and it is all gravel. There are a few permanents in here, but everyone is friendly. The park does have a lot of turnover with travelers visiting the area. I should also mention there are two train tracks behind the property. I love trains! Most people don't seem to mind them either. The difference in staying here versus other places is the difference between a chain restaurant and a ma & pop restaurant. This place is not cookie cutter, rather a unique and authentic Nashville experience. It is also conveniently located for all of the area attractions. This will definitely be our home when in Nashville!!
By user-5852502... on 2017-10-23.
The staff is very nice and attentive. They arranged for a grey line tour and a dog sitter. It's close to conveniences good grocery and restaurants . There is a nice store with a limited menu for a meal of bbq. However the site was very odd right in the entrance and backed in so we got a lot of traffic noise in and out. Then the trains started rolling by. Oh my. They border the campground so you get the full experience of rail noise and rumble....day and night . As much as I liked the location in relationship to Nashville and Bolling Green I did not sleep well for two nights so I will probably look a elsewhere if we come back this way
By user-5893442... on 2017-10-23.
We stay here anytime we are in the Nashville area. I'd like to tell you that the place has gone downhill, that you better just move on... I'd like to tell you that because the secret is out and the place has become so darn popular. I'd like to tell you that, but I just can't. The truth is it is a wonderful place made wonderful by the people. I can't say enough good things about it (refer to my former Reviews). Until next time...

Very nice park. The staff is great. Very nice and helpful. Easy in/easy out with our 40' coach with toad. No cable, but our digital antenna picked up several stations. The one downer was that part way through our stay, the WiFi went down and they were unable to get it back up during our stay. The Saturday night karaoke was fun. Nice grass next to spaces. Very clean and nice bathroom/showers. We will definitely stay again if in area.

Close to Nashville and very nice park. The staff met us when we pulled in and took us directly to our site. The pull thrus are very long with plenty of space between for slide outs. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. The price for laundry was reasonable with 4 washers and 4 dryers

From the owner (Tommy) to the host and all staff are very kind and friendly. That want you to feel like you are home. I even extended my stay for another week. Bathrooms are very clean and up to date. Close to about everything you would want. And the food at the store is tasty home cooking. The only minus is that you only get 2 of the major networks from over the air. Nothing that they can control. Stayed for two weeks in a 40 5th wheel. Easy access in and around the campground. The best CG I have stayed at to date. Will stay here if I am ever in the area.

Very helpful staff. Even drove us to the auto parts store. Clean and well kept. Train noise minor but considering you are 10 minute drive to down town not a problem. No cable. Will stay again.

Good Park. Somewhat compact. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is an on -site diner doing a decent and cheap breakfast. There's DVD lending library. Propane is sensibly priced. We did not use the bathrooms, so no comment. In June 2017 the rate was $37, Inc taxes.
By user-6530501... on 2017-10-23.
Are you kidding me!? This place is a joke. The train tracks run right next to the place, I mean there are sites 10 feet from the tracks. No cable. Small laundry room. Old molding showers. Never again will I stay near Nashville.
By user-5893442... on 2017-10-23.
This was our second stay at The Grand Ole RV Resort. As I stated in an earlier review, the hospitality is what makes this place a 5! This is a family run business, and the owner lives above the office. You just won't find more genuine people anywhere else. They are caring, compassionate, and are constantly making improvements to the property. They have live entertainment 3 nights a week and karaoke on Saturday nights. It is an authentic Nashville experience. It's only 15 minutes to downtown, just off I-65, and there's a restaurant called the Chef's Market a couple of miles away that boasts the #1 caterers in Nashville. We won't stay anywhere else when visiting the area.
By user-5897746... on 2017-10-23.
In over 5000 miles travelled this fall, and staying at over 20 different campgrounds overnight, this is the first that harassed me about my camper. There must have been something special about the place, but I didn't see anything.

I gotta say, this family has hospitality down. And we are so grateful for it. We came in with our RV in desperate need of repair, and they didn’t just give us a number to call, the owner picked up his cell and called a guy, who ended up taking good care of us. We were then escorted to our site by the owner. Once we got set up, we walked back over to the market, and listened to some music and got some food. The market has quite a good selection of snacks, beverages, knick knacks etc. Our RV was in the shop for a few days so we were kind of in limbo for a bit, so we ended up extending our stay a few more days. Glad they were able to accommodate. This place books up! It was nice, a couple of times, as they passed by on their golf carts they checked in on us to see how the RV was while it was in the shop. This RV Park is well maintained, bathrooms are the cleanest I’ve been in, and well lit. Feel very safe here. And it’s not far, maybe 10-15 minutes from Nashville. This is a great, family run place. I highly recommend. We will definitely be back when we come back this way for sure!!

We spent a total of 14 nights over two stays in April 2018 at Grand Ole RV Resort in our 39’ fifth wheel. We really like the campground and will likely make this our “go to” site for future visits to the Nashville area. We have stayed at the campgrounds on Music Valley Drive in Nashville and prefer Grand Ole RV Resort due to cost and customer service. The campground is very close to I-65 and a relatively short drive into downtown Nashville. This campground is a great example of the way a family-run business should operate. We were in a bit of bind because our tow vehicle needed to be in the body shop and we weren’t sure when we would be able to move. The staff was extremely helpful and found a way to meet our needs. This campground is clearly very popular and appeared full almost every night we were there. The sites are somewhat close together but not uncomfortably so. We had no problem extending our slides and awnings. We enjoyed the professional musicians that perform every evening. The only real negative is the railroad tracks that pass along the perimeter of the property. The trains run frequently and are quite loud.

We were escorted to our site by Tammy and Miller. As we were setting up, we noticed that the fridge had tilted outward and we needed help fixing it. For 2 HOT hours 4 men and Tammy worked til they were able to get it back correctly . Everyone was very helpful and so very nice. We would recommend this resort to stay if coming to Nashville area.

If you're looking for a place to call homebase and you're planning on venturing into Nashville, pick here! It's a 15 min drive from downtown. We stayed at a 30A FHU gravel site that was level and away from the tracks. From checkin to checkout, the staff was nice as can be. The camp office/store/restaurant has what you need: home cooked dinners, beer coolers, propane station, live music, friendly people, free hot showers. Bathrooms were spotless and heated. We went to two of the music shows. The bands played crowd favorites and, quite frankly, were too talented to be playing free admittance shows. Great entertainment! It was November, so with windows shut and the heat on, the train didn't bother us one bit. We'd absolutely stay again. We knocked one star because the WiFi was unreliable and the sites were a bit small/close together. Excellent amenities for the reasonable rate!

I prefer to only write positive reviews except where I feel it may be helpful to others. I saw the high rating and even had others in our motor home group gives the thumbs up BUT what the heck? We are really, really squeezed in here )we have a big rig motor home 38ft long. There is road noise to the north and south with a TRAIN to our west. Not ok. They advertise WiFi, but this is only true for the immediate sites opposing the store. They advertise pet friendly however no where, absolutely no where to safely walk them, without potentially walking they someone s site. Ugh! And of course we paid for multiple nights without refunds. Such a bummer, this had been the worst so far in our travels from PA to TN.
By user-6692598... on 2019-08-09.
I want to report that people running this park could not be nicer. If you want southern hospitality this could be your place. because of this, i added a star. According to Tommy, employee who stopped by when he saw my review said all the parks in Nashville are this tight. Maybe so. I hope not. Also for clarity: I did not have a reservation and we called for a site for Thanksgiving. They were full and offered us a 30 amp site, and in a pinch this place will do, but be warned it is a parking lot. A tight parking lot.

This was our first stop on the road and I couldn t have asked for any more. The family who runs this park are so sweet and helpful. We planned to stay 2 nights and finally packed up and left after our 5th night because we enjoyed it so much. Tommy helped me replace our water hookup and made sure our sewer hookup was working properly. Breakfast is served from 8-10 every morning and supper in the evening. Always great food and a smile when you walk in the door. Thank you Cunningham s for a wonderful time.

I want to give a higher rating because the staff were super nice and helpful, including a good breakfast offering and nightly live music. However, the resort is located steps from busy roads on two sides and train tracks on a third. The sites and access roads are large stones, not comfortable to walk on or set up camp. The only thing separating our trailer from the neighbor was the electric box and water connection. Showers were not set up well and water temp fluctuated. I will look elsewhere next time.

Great hosts. We ate good hamburgers at the restaurant. Singing on the back porch nightly was nice also. They bring you a fire pit to your site when you sign in. There were no grills at the sites but some people had a grill so maybe they bring one of those also if you ask. We did not ask. They have propane fillips available. The sites were too close for our comfort but level rock and full hookups. I didn t even take any pics. Since we were there for the flea market all we needed was a place to stay anyway.

I wish I could upload a photo as the set up is hard to believe without seeing it. When we stepped out of our door we would have to step over the neighbors sewer connection as well as all the hoses and electrical box. No easy parking for the car. There is a large lot to walk dogs on and the folk in office are great, easy to get packages.
