Most of the park is nice. But don't take one of the new sites in back.about as bad as you could imagine. Water pressure sucks. Had to fill my tank and run the pump. Voltage was lower than I care for.it was extremely hot no shade burnt up dusty grass. No character whatsoever.

Good campground

Very nice, very large campground. We stayed in the back, very open, small/medium trees, grass, full hookups, excellent cable, no issues. Lots of choices here, open, wooded, waterfront, they have it all. Plenty of room for big rigs. Wide paved roads.

Rating 3.5-4 stars.
Very well maintained Park. There are very nice RV spots in the wooded areas and by the lake. The newer section, where we stayed, is open with small trees. Wifi is terrible. Continually drops connection. Would stay again especially if staying by the lake or in a site with big trees.

Enjoyed camping here. Clean bathrooms, full hookups and $35 dollars a night or $215 for week. Will stay again.

Nice Campground
By user-6261094... on 2017-10-23.
Price: $33.00 per day, FHU, 50 amp
Pros: Great Lake location, also has open field spots (which are satellite friendly). Many pull-thru sites, clean park, good free wi-fi.
Cons: Laundry out of order! Out of season price a little high.
Would stay again :-)

Our go to park in Traverse City
By user-4574394... on 2018-03-14.
Have stayed here numerous times. Great location just south of the city. Roomy pull through sites and a good value for the area. Nothing special, but very functional for overnight parking. We visit Traverse City for the attractions, not to hang out at campground, and this place is clean and safe and fits the bill.

A nice park located near shopping and restaurants, a bit far from town and beaches. Choice of wooded and open sites. Park is clean and friendly staff.

Very nice, clean park

Picked this campground on our way around Michigan based on the reviews & were not disappointed. We were only going to stay 1 night, but after spending a day at Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes decided to stay 3 nights so we could go back to the Dunes some more. What looks like the older sections (?) are fully wooded on small loops like a state park with some right on the lake. The newer sections, we were in site 128, are side by side, but not too close together. The newest sections, with pull throughs, are in full sun. It appears they are adding about another 12 pull through sites, all of which are in full sun. Our site had more shade than sun & was great.
I should point out that the CG is right off a main road so depending on your site location you could get a fair amount of road noise. But then you are only 6 mikes south of Traverse City.
Staff was great & the bath/showers were spotless. I would have prefered a latching door on the shower, but that's nit picking. We were in a 28' MH towing a car. Plenty of room. Was surprised at how busy they were mid Sept.

Very nice park
By user-5328266... on 2019-08-09.
Very convenient to Traverse City. Landscaping is immaculate. Paved roads and gravel sites. Good water pressure. Propane refills on site. This is a huge park with lots of roads to ride bikes. A lots of the RV sites are privately owned. Only reason for downgrade was road noise prevented us opening windows at night. Park is close to very busy highway.

Awesome
By user-6735415... on 2019-08-09.
This park is a true gem. Beautiful shaded large sites, quiet, clean restrooms and easy access. Very close to vineyards and the Sleeping Bear Dunes National shoreline. A little pricey but well worth the cost. We d stay there again and again.

Nice Place
By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.
This is a very nice campground, well groomed with paved roads. The sites are gravel with grass separations. The pull through I was assigned was level. There is adequate room so you are not crowding your neighbor. Since I am in a motorhome, I am self contained so I cannot make a review about the restrooms and laundry facilities. The reason I did not give this place a 5 star is because dog rules are not being enforced. Owners need to be warned when they check-in that barking dogs will not be tolerated. I do not appreciate being woken up by a barking dog, nor do I like hearing barking dogs as the owners site around their campfire well beyond quiet time. Dog owners that allow this type of behavior make it bad for all dog owners.
