Nice & clean

We had to wait until morning to have our spare tire fixed (3rd blow out on this trip) so stayed at this little gem. Late night check-in a breeze. Very clean and the counter lady is incredibly nice.

Ended up staying 3 days for service to motor home windshield. Very clean, neat campground with excellent facilities. Friendly owners. Will put this on our "must stay"list for future trips thru the area. Watch the bump at the entry.

A good little place to rest. Easy on and off the interstate and there is a gas station/store as you turn into the campground.
There's a Walmart on the next exit north about 2 miles away.
There's a big area for dogs and a playground for children.
We arrived around 7:00 pm and no one was in the office but there are envelopes with available sites just pick one. At 6:30 am we were leaving and paid the lady who was there though their opening hours were 7:00am

Stopped here on my way home. Very nice, clean campgtound. Open open year-round. Staff very friendly and helpful. You have your separate showers and toilet all spotless. Also could be used as a storm shelter if need be. I would definitely stay here again.

Overnight stay

Easy off and on the Hwy 57. Friendly host. Pull sites were good but it was tight with a 40 ft motor home with a full pickup in tow. No picnic tables and narrow. Half block road turned to single lane. When pulling and pulling out, there was a very deep hole, gave us a lot of rocky motion. May not come back until hole is filled in by city.

Staff very friendly on the phone, left info for us and met them in the morning with easy check out. Would definitely stay again. Clean and accommodating. Easy in and out.

Arrived here when the office was closed. Package was at the door for after hour arrivals. Information was very complete. Wifi was ok but required login with password multiple times. Wouldn't mind staying there again.

Home away from home

We pulled in here exhausted after a 350 mile day and were welcomed like family. Convenient to town and Crab Orchard. Friendly hosted and pull through with full hookups. We will be back when the area again.

The park is clean, the staff friendly. The sites are level. The only problem was that there was a lot of noise from the highway nearby so we didn't sleep too well.

A Gem in the Middle of a City

This was a very pleasant surprise. We stayed for a month in the middle of Marion, IL, and it never felt like it. Since in the city, one has easy access to most anything needed. The park is clean and quiet with lots of mature trees and friendly staff. There is a train track running down one side of the park, but the private train only runs a couple of times during the day week days. The laundry/bathroom/shower facilities are very nice. There is a good play area for kids and a dog walk. There is a covered picnic shelter available. The main reason I did not give 5 stars is that the cable did not work the entire time we were there. Still, I'll happily stay here again.

A bit noisy but I slept right through it all. Staff gave us a level easy pull through. Nice grassy area for our dogs. Just wished the dumpster was closer to us.

Squished

Our site was extremely narrow. Sites 21-43 are very narrow. All other sites are average size. Our sewage hookup was about 2 steps from campers next to us. Seems like they try to fit as many as possible for more money. Also, no military discount. Will look elsewhere when traveling through next time.

Arrived after hours. Found our assigned site with no problem. Water pump went out that. Ugh the and the owner was very helpful in directing us to a great service center nearby. Would definitely stop again if we are in the area. BTW, don t follow GPS when it tells you to go straight when you get off the interstate. When traveling north, get off at exit then turn left at light. Campground is on left

It was cold when we stayed there so we did not hook up water (below freezing) which was ok because our motor home was still winterized (heading south). We used the showers which were exceptionally clean. The management was very friendly and helpful. We arrived after hours and had a spot picked out for us. We will stay there again.

Stayed overnight. Clean, friendly and a good place to stop. No pool but it is kid friendly with a playground.

Sites are long but not very wide at all. Your awning might hit your neighbors slide. Standing water everywhere. Only a handful of picnic tables since there is no room for them.
