Ok for overnight - Lots of Trees.

This campground is aging. It does have full hookups and 50amps available, and most sites are pull through. It has tons of trees and you have to be careful if you are a big rig to get a campsite that you can actually get into and out of. Our site was only good if the site across the road was vacant so we could pull through that site. Trees made it impossible to make the turn out of the site. Sewer and water connections can vary in distance from your water compartment. We needed 40 ft of sewer hose and 30 of water to hook up. electrical was well placed.

Not bad, but aged. Lots of trees. Felt that there could be more clean-up done to make it more appealing. It was quiet and price good with passport America. Felt like there were a lot of full-timers at this park. Our cable did not work. Did not use bathroom facilities.

very wooded, no satalite, mud hole, tight sites and all roads are dirt as well as sites.

Nice stay
By user-4622222... on 2017-10-23.
I enjoyed the powerful shower. The restrooms were average on cleanliness. The grounds were not maintained as I would like. The lake has catfish and alligator, not worth fishing. Pool water seemed to need attention. All in all, it was quiet and worth the fee.

Woodsy Camp

Price is wrong. Paid $42.00. Listed also as Passport America for 2 nights. I called twice and added on an extra night, but then PA not on weekend.

This is a Passport America campground, with a reasonable rate. There's a pool, and the internet is only available at the clubhouse next to the office. At least, they were honest enough to say it upfront! unlike others who claim to have it and don't have it at all. Cable is free and there are some activities in the clubhouse towards the weekend. Like a potluck on Thursdays and BBQ on Fridays. The sites are not that leveled, which is not uncommon, it has dirt roads, but it's nicely shaded. Not bad for a two day stay for the money. The staff is friendly and helpful. It didn't rain while we were there, but Im sure the roads would be muddy because they are dirt roads. But isn't that expected?

Stayed 5 nights
By user-5620841... on 2018-03-14.
That is a long time for us. All the other reviews are true. Nice place a little tired but generally fine. Not paved so mud could be a problem. They have putt putt golf, a club house with WiFi there, good laundry facilities and a rare thing... A place to wash your rig. It's not too far from several attractions, Hilton Head, Savannah, Beaufort... Because we we're close to the club house, site 17 we could use their WiFi. It's weak but we could download entertainment. Verizon is also weak 1-2 bars but good enough. First Ally the showers are hot too. Though the sites are shaded with trees, there isn't any privacy. They seem to be pretty level as a bonus.

Stayed two nights, not a bad option for easy access to I95 at reasonable rates though if the thousand trails wasn't included with my camper purchase I don't know if I would of chose to stayed there. Staff was helpful, sites and roads could use some work.

Exit 33 from SC I-95. this location and KOA next door. Site #45 pull thru FHU w/50 amp. All gravel sites are pull thru. My site had a bad 50 amp breaker, I told the friendly reception desk gal and 15 min later MNX had it replaced. They give away the cable and WIFI only at clubhouse. Lots of trees and quite. no noise from I95. will keep this on my come back to list. good prive with Passport America discount.

Decent, quiet, tight sites

Typical Thousand Trails park; clean, quiet but definitely seen better days. Restrooms and showers are clean but smallish. Sites are gravel and fairly close to your neighbor. Pool was actually open!

Good for a Short Stay

Older CG under a vast number of trees with fairly spaced sites. Trees may be difficult to negotiate in some spots, but saw no one having problems with even the bigger class As. Good FHU connections and Cable. Wifi limited to the clubhouse. Sites are gravel/dirt most were drive through and looked level. Bathhouses are older and in need of upgrade but were cleaned regularly and were serviceable. Nice trails around lake for walking. Not much to do at Point South but does provide 25 mile access to Beaufort SC and an easy run down to Savannah. (We were here visiting Family in Beaufort) - Used Thousand Trails membership) Great access off I-95 for a rest stop.

Decent Thousand Trails Park
By user-5229460... on 2019-08-09.
Stayed 2019-05-24 to 2019-05-28
For a Thousand Trails park this was pretty good. Pool was nice and there was cable at the site. Park was clean and any seasonal sites were not junkie. But, our site was HORRIBLE (86)! Too small for our 28 foot travel trailer. Wouldn't have bothered me if they had been booked solid, but there were many larger sites available the whole time we were there. I would stay again if in the area, but would ask for a different site!

A bit tight, but a good location
By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.
It's a small campground. The sites are quite tight. But the Rec Hall is equipped with a lot of stuff to enjoy, as well as a library and a games/toys collection for children. The location is very good - Savannah and Charleston are very close. Very friendly employees.
