We read the reviews from other websites and made a reservation for two nights. We got an open river front spot which isn't a problem if your air conditioning works. Anyway the site was awesome and we got to see all the traffic on the river; from small tugs to huge ones pushing 18 or more barges. We even saw a paddle wheeler heading down river and got to watch a full moon rising over the river...awesome! The staff is very friendly and works hard to take care of the place but watch out at night because the mosquitos are bad.

This park is beautifully located on the Mississippi. Most sites are right along the river, but some are back in the trees. All afford a good view of the river and the barges and riverboat. The laundry is free, in an immaculately clean room with brand new machines. There was wifi, but it was virtually non-existent in our site. Even under the trees, there was good antenna reception. Along the river, satellite would be good. Would definitely stay here again, but make reservations if possible for the river sites.

My favorite new rv park! From the window of our RV van, we watched barge traffic move upstream toward Memphis. Meticulously clean restroom and free laundry facilities. Of course there are mosquitoes. This is the Mississippi River! Well maintained and very comfortable

Stayed in wooded area since riverfront was booked. Glad we did, temps above normal and very few tree riverfront

We stayed at the park for 6 days. it was Nice and quiet. Clean and well kept. Decent size spaces. The people working at the park are so nice and helpful. Lots of green space and beautiful views of the river. We have two large dogs and we felt very comfortable with them as there was so much open space to walk them on the leash. It is located a short drive from Memphis and that was a plus for us. Definitely recommends this place!

I don't know of any other place where you can literally have a campsite on the banks of the Mississippi River and watch the barges go up and down the river. The park lacks a pool or playground for kids and the wifi is lousy at best and Verizon 4G service is 1-2 bars. The bugs are horrible despite repellent and spray by the park. Nevertheless, I would make sure to stop here again if in the area. Access from the interstate is easy. There is full hookup at every site and location on the river is unparalleled.

We just needed an overnight stay on our way to Texas. But this park has such an incredible view right on the Miss River and great hookup sites that we're planning a special trip back to Memphis. It'll be our 1st choice stop every time thru.
By user-6204622... on 2018-06-25.
Get the riverfront sites to watch the barges go by. Nice park we will be back. Big thumbs up.

Very friendly staff. Great views of the tugboats on the Mississippi River We would definitely return. We camped in a motor home so I didn't see the bath house

Great location right on the Mississippi River, only 15 minutes to downtown Memphis. Friendly staff. You can watch the barges going up and down the Mississippi right from your doorstep.

If you want a no frills campground, just relaxation, fishing, & peace & quiet, then this is the place for you. 3 ponds & Mississippi River to fish in. There are basically 3 areas. One is all sites in the sun on the river. One is mostly shaded area back away from the river. One is right on the side of the river with some shaded and some sunny sites where we stayed. Some sites have pads & some do not. There is a short section of the road in that is dirt, but it isn't bad. About 5 miles to rts 55 & 40 and it is easy on & off. Nice laundry room and it is free, but only 2 washers & dryers. Internet is sketchy. TV antenna works great. So relaxing to watch the barges & paddle boat cruises go by. Close to everything we wanted to see in Memphis. Very quiet campground. Lots of places to walk your dog. Only con is some of the campers let their dogs run loose even tho it says to keep them on a leash. Would stay here again if in the area. We stayed in a 35' motorhome.

Been here 4 plus times will come again. Dog friendly they let the dogs run and "go" any where. Don't enforce leash rules. Had a couple washers and dryers not even half of them but washing is free. I dropped a star do to not enforcing leash rules

A very nice park riverside and just outside of Memphis. Reasonably priced and a great view of the river. Once again an over night stay but looks like a nice place to spend a few days.
By user-5838712... on 2018-06-25.
Yes, right on the river but no shade and restrooms were in a tar paper shack. Looked like permanent residents had all the shaded spots. Are these reviews real?

Right on the Mississippi. We watched tugs pushing barges and saw a paddle boat. Lots of room. Restrooms are very clean but, need updated. RV park Somewhat hard to find.
By user-5796463... on 2018-06-25.
Nice, clean park with friendly staff right on the river. We and our dogs watched the sun rise over the mighty Mississippi in such a peaceful setting. I didn't notice road or train noise that others mentioned in their reviews. I would stay here again and definitely recommend this campground to friends.
By user-5055794... on 2018-06-25.
We really enjoyed staying here - had a riverfront site and watched cargo boats and paddle boats go up and down the river. If you are a light sleeper you may want a site away from the river as you can hear them all night unless you use a fan or white noise device. Concrete pads on most sites, packed gravel roads, very clean & private shower houses (each individualized with sink, toilet, shower, bathmat, and dressing area. Staff is friendly and accomodating. Laundry rooms have very new machines, very clean, and no charge for wash or dry! Amazing perk! Very well maintained - will definitely stay again.

there for one overnight but would return for visit to Memphis or another overnight …not heavily improved, rustic but well kept … beautifully located on Mississippi River… do not count on any WiFi (thus the 4 star) … would stay here again and would try for riverfront site with pavement (had to do gravel this first time... we were in 45ft MH with toad and had nice long pull thru)! … somewhat hard to find so pay attention to their directions but it is a pretty easy off and back on to I-55
By user-5851089... on 2018-06-25.
We needed a place to stop on our way from Texas to Kentucky and this was at a good point. The staff is very friendly! However, I expected peace and quiet after reading the reviews. Turns out there's a train track pretty close by and some plant noise. It's not awful but I also wouldn't call it quiet. Drive by a scary looking neighborhood. This place was what I needed it to be but I would not come here as a destination.

If you are in an RV and don't use the showers or bathrooms, this is a five star. The location is right on the river. Lots of open space. Many sites have shade. We will always stay here. Sketchy internet
By user-4526461... on 2018-06-25.
What a great RV park! Long pull throughs allowing great views of the river. Some are shaded, some are not. Some sites are paved, some are not. Some are river front, some are not. Don't follow GPS instructions. Call ahead and they'll tell you how to get there.

Park is not heavily improved. There are FHU and sites right on the river. There is not a lot of traffic on this section of the river. We saw two barges on a Saturday evening. There are tons if open spaces to walk dogs. Staff seemed fine. There is not much near the park. We went to the recommended BBQ joint, Ray's World Famous, and it is an absolute dump of a shack. The food is fantastic, just get it to go. I subtracted stars due to standing water in the roads that don't help the mosquito situation.

It's scary that this place has 4 and a half stars. Never mind you drive past a huge stinky propane company, turn left onto a dirt road and just past the dump site were dump trucks are unloading is the entrance to Tom Sawyer. ONLY good thing is long pull through sites and the view of the river. Very little pavement almost no shade trees and restrooms are disgusting.

I've stated many RB parks across this is by far top five. Is the staff is very helpful, courteous and accommodating, but they emulate what you would like an RV park owner to be like. Free laundry. Views from each campsite of the Mississippi River. Quiet and serene with trees around. Each site has hookups and dumping station. Location is only a 15 minute drive from downtown Memphis, very easy to find. I would stay here again anytime!!!

Wonderful setting RIGHT on the river. Out campsite was on the front row and we had a 180 degree panorama of the river traffic. We were going to be tourists in Memphis but we decided to just chill at the campground all day.

Hands down, the nicest people have run into. The scenery is second to none. Full view of the Mississippi River even from the non river front sites.
By user-5294006... on 2018-06-25.
We stayed here one night in a 40' motorhome. Called for a reservation about an hour out and got a riverfront site with full hookups. Gravel road lead to nice level concrete pad pull thru with unobstructed river view. We were able to watch the river traffic and enjoy a beautiful river sunset. Made use of free laundry facilities which were very clean. Nice open areas to walk the dog. One comment below mentioned train noise however we were not at all bothered by the few trains we heard. Unable to use the free internet. Paid $44 with good Sam discount.

We love staying here. There's plenty of space to walk around and watch the barges go up and down the river. The areas are very well maintained and clean, especially the laundry area. The laundry is free of charge and they have two places where you can do laundry. The main laundry has 6 washers and dryers in the small one has two of each. The lady that runs this facility is super nice and very accommodating.

As others have said, you have to drive through some commercial areas to get here... and make sure you follow the website's directions or you'll end up in a run-down neighborhood! However, once you arrive you'll never want to leave. I could sit out all day and watch the barges go by. It's pretty quiet...yeah there's a train track a mile away and some industrial activity up river... but I never needed earplugs. The sites are very long and wide. I've been full-timing for three years and this place is in my top 5.

Great location, pull through sites, big rig friendly. We were right on the great Mississippi watching the barges. Very convenient location to Memphis.
By user-5339389... on 2018-07-06.
Following the parks directions for access is a must. The area approaching the park is industrial and the access is a bit rough but well worth the view of the river! The sites are decently sized. Some have concrete pads while others are gravel. There are park benches along the river to sit and watch the barges and river boats go by. The laundry is free at both bathrooms. The area is prone to flooding, so understand if the setting is not perfect. Access to sightseeing in Memphis is easy. We would stay here again. We stayed in a 37 foot motorhome and tow.

Interesting park - it's not fancy by any definition. All dirt roads, but the sites are good sized and level. If you can get a river front site, the views of the Mississippi River and the river traffic are really unique. Even if you're not river front, there are nice benches all along the shore to sit and enjoy. The park is located in an industrial area - not hard to find - but it's recommended to use the directions the park will email you with your reservation.

It was a fun, interesting place to stay. Sites right on the Mississippi River. Watch the traffic on the river from your campsite. We had a pull thru which was long and fairly level. The campsite is clean and well kept. Google Maps brought up directions that matched the campgrounds website. Easy to get in and out in our 40 ft motorhome and toad. Would definitely stay again.

We booked a site at Tom Sawyers and the sites on the river were full (3 weeks ahead). We took a site that was concrete and under the trees. Don t do it! We had 1/2 of mud covering the concrete, the patio had an ancient and warped picnic table and mud as well. I don t think they perform maintenance on these sites, plus the back row is full timers most with construction jobs.

We stayed two nights on a level, gravel site in November. The riverfront sites were all taken -- mostly by large 5th wheels and Class As that blocked the view, which was a little sad. It rained the whole time, but we tracked very little mud into the RV. The bath house had 2 private bathrooms, each with toilet, sink, shower, and an electric heater. It felt like using a bathroom in a home, which was off-putting at first but then kind of fantastic! Water pressure was great. The wifi was weak. Only enough signal to check email, not really enough to browse the interwebs. There's free laundry, just remember to bring your detergent. It was probably a 15-20 min drive to the Tennessee Welcome Center in Memphis, where they allowed us to park for the day for free.
By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.
This place was great! Lots of pull thru and cement pads. Staff was super friendly, escorted us to our site, and picked up trash 3x daily. They also offer free laundry services. Right along the Mississippi River, the sunsets were beautiful. There is also lots of green space for kids and pets. Bonus, the park is super close to Memphis. We would definitely stop again if in the area!!

I love the river views from this park. There are two rows of sites that face looking out over the Mississippi River. The sites are a mix of gravel and some that are concrete. Each site has a picnic table and grass areas between the sites. The park has working wifi and a small shower/bathroom in a small cabin structure. They offer fishing ponds and great views of the boats moving up and down the river. This is a very reasonable park and we will stay here again when visiting the Memphis area.

This is one of our Top 10 favorite parks, and all because of the view. Pay the extra money for the front row and watch the barges churn their way up and down the Mississippi River. Front row sites have level concrete pads, long enough for our 43' Motorhome and tow vehicle. One section allows motorhomes to pull in and 2nd section to back in. Utilities worked great, a tree blocked our satellite reception, but this was not true for every site. Wi-Fi didn't work great and Verizon reception was spotty, but entertainment was out the front window. No pool or many other amenities. Quiet except for an occasional train or barge whistle, train sounds were in the distance. On Saturday night we could hear car racing, but it wasn't loud enough to bother us.
Enjoy the view of the sun rising over the Mississippi River in our easy to access campground with 30 or 50 amp sites. Choose from shade of the woods or wit on the edge of the river and watch the traffic float by. We offer the choice of either concrete or level gravel sites, several are back-in and 21 are new pull through riverfront sites designed for 5th wheel trailers to offer a panoramic view of the river through the rear window.
